Expectedly, while the Kona is among the most versatile models on the market in terms of the available powertrains, the Kona N has just one butt-kicking engine option available.
It is a 2 L 4-cylinder twin-scroll turbo with 206 kW of power and 392 Nm of torque available from 2100 to 4700 revs. The KONA N has a wet-clutch DCT and sprints from 0-100 in around 5.5 seconds.
The driving enthusiast in me will always prefer the i30 N, but the objective me has to give a slight edge to the Kona N due to its versatility.
